Miami · South Florida
Miami-Dade has more grant money than most nonprofits ever apply for. We map the funders that fit you, write the proposals, and manage the awards. Fixed prices, published results, and a guarantee for organizations winning their first grant.
South Florida funding landscape
Miami-Dade combines a large community foundation, one of the country’s biggest private funders, a dedicated children’s fund, and serious public arts money. These are the funders every Miami strategy starts from; which of them fit your organization is the first thing we map.
Greater Miami's community foundation. Its Community Grants program gives multi-year general operating support, which is rare and worth planning around.
Headquartered in Miami, with deep investment in Miami-Dade and Broward: neighborhoods, arts and culture, and civic projects.
A voter-approved Miami-Dade funder investing hundreds of millions a year in youth, family, and early-childhood programs.
Health equity and access grants for organizations serving low-income and underserved communities across South Florida.
A portfolio of county grant programs for cultural organizations, from small community grants to general operating support.
State-level general program support and project grants for arts and cultural organizations statewide.
Remote engagements
We’re based in Columbus, Ohio. Most of the organizations we fund are not, and the funder never notices the difference.

For Miami nonprofits
Established organizations usually work with us on a Grant Management plan: research, writing, submissions, and post-award reporting from $3,000 to $6,500 per month, matched to your funding goal. Newer organizations start with the $1,500 Grant Sprint. If we don’t secure any funding, you get a full refund.
Freelancers in Miami typically quote $35 to $150 per hour, so the final bill depends on how long everything takes. Our prices are public and fixed: full Grant Management plans run $3,000 to $6,500 per month depending on your funding goal, Grant Matching is $299 per month, and newer organizations can start with the flat $1,500 Grant Sprint. If the Sprint doesn't secure any funding, you get a full refund.
No. Funders judge the proposal, the program, and the numbers, not the writer's zip code. Most of our clients never meet us in person: the work happens in shared documents, on video calls, and inside funder portals. We're based in Columbus, Ohio, and work with nonprofits nationwide. What matters is knowing the South Florida funders and doing the writing well.
Miami-Dade has an unusually rich mix: The Miami Foundation and the Knight Foundation on the private side, The Children's Trust for youth and family programs, the Health Foundation of South Florida for health equity, and the county's Department of Cultural Affairs plus the state's Division of Arts & Culture for cultural organizations. Which of them fit you depends on your programs and budget, and mapping that is what the free strategy call is for.
Only if the funding you secure is a multiple of what you pay. That's why we publish our pricing and success rate, and why the Sprint carries a refund guarantee. If grants aren't the right move for your organization yet, we'll tell you on the call rather than sell you a plan.
That's who the Grant Sprint was built for. Most of our clients have budgets between $100K and $5M and limited or no development staff. If you've never won a grant before, the Sprint's guarantee means trying carries no financial risk.
You can draft with it, and so does everyone else, which is the problem: reviewers now read stacks of proposals that sound the same. Awards come down to the fit between your program and the funder's priorities, your data, and a budget narrative that holds up. We use no AI in the writing: every application is handcrafted by our human funding experts, because the story is one only you can tell.
Plan on 3 to 9 months from submission to award for most foundation and government grants. Many South Florida funders, including county and state arts programs, run on fixed annual cycles, so timing your applications matters as much as writing them. Newer organizations on the Grant Sprint typically see first award notices within 60 to 90 days, and the Sprint is fully refunded if no funding is secured.
Yes. Many Miami-Dade organizations serve Spanish-speaking, Haitian, and immigrant communities, and that is a real strength in a proposal when it's backed by data: who you serve, in which languages, and with what results. Funders want evidence that your staff and programs reflect the community you work in. We help you document that clearly, so your cultural reach reads as capacity rather than a footnote.
Yes. We work with organizations across South Florida and nationwide, not only in Miami-Dade. Location does shape which funders fit: some, like The Children's Trust and the county's Department of Cultural Affairs, fund Miami-Dade programs specifically, while others, like the Knight Foundation and the Health Foundation of South Florida, reach across the region. Mapping which funders are open to you is the first thing we do.
Some do, and it's worth planning around, because unrestricted funding is the hardest money for any nonprofit to raise. Some community foundations and county cultural programs in South Florida offer general operating grants, and they are competitive: funders reward clean financials and a clear track record. Most other grants will be restricted to a specific program or project.
A free 20–30 minute strategy call. You’ll leave knowing which funders are realistic and what it would cost.
